통계학은 사회 전 분야에서 필요로 하는 과목이다. 특히 21세기는 시스템 통합화와 데이터 홍수로 규정되는 바, 데이터 처리를 위한 통계 지식은 생존을 위한 기본 가장 중요한 무기라고 할 수 있다. 본 교과에서는 자료 분석 방법과 통계학에 대한 기초 이론을 확립하고, 응용기법을 습득함으로써, 경영공학 및 기타 여러 분야에서 발생하는 자료의 처리 및 합리적인 분석 능력을 배양한다. 본 교과는 품질경영의 기초가 되며 더 나아가 6-sigma, CRM(고객관계관리)등의 최신 기법을 학습하기 위한 기초가 되는 과목이다.

Statistics is one of essential courses for all subjects. Foreseeing 21th century may be the era of system integration and data flood, statistical knowledge for the data analysis is an important tool for one’s lifetime. The main topics of this course include data analysis methods and basic theories of statistics. This course is the primary subject for studying quality management, 6-sigma, CRM, etc.
